Larry Jacobson

PRESIDENT AND CEO

Larry Jacobson is the president and CEO of Jacobson Equities, where since 2012 he has transformed a long-standing family real estate business into a national, institutional-grade investment platform. Under his leadership, the firm has expanded from its California base into Colorado, Washington, Texas, Florida, and Oregon, while broadening its strategy from multifamily into student housing. Jacobson Equities is recognized for disciplined execution, the highest ethical values, and consistent performance across all market cycles.

Prior to Jacobson Equities, Mr. Jacobson built a distinguished career in the global music industry. He founded World Audience, where Billboard Magazine named him one of the industry’s “Super-Managers,” and managed artists including Avenged Sevenfold, Alanis Morissette, Slash, and Michael Bolton. He previously ran and was a partner in Giant Records (Time Warner), where he signed the multi-platinum band Disturbed, oversaw Steely Dan’s Grammy-winning comeback album Two Against Nature, and was responsible for the multi-platinum soundtrack to the film Dazed and Confused. He later served as senior vice president at Capitol Records (EMI).

Mr. Jacobson began his career as a real estate attorney at Buchalter, Nemer Fields and Younger and has been co-general partner of Jacobson Equities’ partnerships since the 1990s. He is a licensed real estate broker (CADRE #01923090) and holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.

Mr. Jacobson’s career reflects a rare combination of institutional leadership, creativity, and trusted representation of world-renowned entertainers — qualities that have made Jacobson Equities a trusted sponsor for celebrities, family offices, and other high-net-worth individuals.
